Let’s refresh ourselves on hot summer days with a cooling vegan milkshake ”Summer”! Cold homemade cashew milk ”Danara” for density, turmeric and ginger powder for immune system boost, agave syrup for mild sweetness, Peruvian yellow maca powder for hormonal balance. And why not a few ice cubes for an extra cooling effect?

In our lifestyle with a balanced healthy vegan gluten-free and sugar-free diet, it is very important what we include in our daily menu. That’s why I diversify our days by making delicious drinks with superfoods to drink. In the summer I include cooling vegan milkshakes with various superfoods, in the spring and autumn I prepare infusion waters for detox, and in the winter we drink different types of warm tea combining aromatic herbs and fruits.

Usually, our daily meals are aligned with Danara’s Planetary Kitchen and I prepare our meals according to the respective day of the week, carefully selecting the ingredients. On Thursday I prepare yellow foods and drinks, as the ruling planet is Jupiter and the day color is Yellow. That’s why to balance the energy of the planet Jupiter, on Thursday I use different combinations of yellow fruits and vegetables, as well as drinks with yellow superfoods.

Plant milk with Peruvian maca


  • 15 g Peruvian yellow maca powder

  • 30 g agave syrup organic

  • 6 g turmeric powder

  • 2 g ginger powder

  • 600 ml. cold cashew milk “Danara”

  • Using a kitchen scale, I weigh all the ingredients separately.
  • In the jug of the blender I put all the ingredients and blend for a few seconds until a homogeneous mixture.
  • I pour the milkshake into pre-chilled glasses and serve with fruits. Ice cubes can be added for extra cooling!
